Dental Implants in Lapeer, MI
Complete Your Smile
Missing teeth can negatively affect your health, your oral function, and your confidence, but you can restore all of these by receiving dental implants near Lapeer, MI. Greater Michigan Oral Surgeons & Dental Implant Center is proud to offer dental implant treatments to the entire Lapeer community. Dental implants are the ideal solution for missing teeth because of the many benefits they provide.
The innovative design of dental implants allows patients to regain full functionality of their teeth and complete confidence in their smile. Their unique three-part design, which includes the implant post, the abutment, and the prosthetic crown, prevents bone loss and encourages the overall health of your mouth. The implant post integrates with your jaw, keeping the bone stimulated and preventing any possible deterioration that can occur with missing teeth. The prosthetic crown is custom-designed to look like the rest of your teeth, so once it is attached to the implant via the abutment, it is indistinguishable from the rest of your teeth.
The Biggest Advantages of Dental Implants
Permanent.
While other tooth restorations typically need replacement, dental implants have the potential to last a lifetime with proper care.
Self-supportive.
Dentures rest on the gum and existing teeth, and tooth-supported bridges rely on healthy teeth to be ground down for support. Once the post has integrated with the jaw bone, it becomes a strong foundation to support the crown for many years.
Improve Your Health.
A dental implant is the only tooth replacement option that maintains the integrity of the jaw. Having a post to stimulate the jaw bone prevents it from deteriorating, unlike dentures, which do not stimulate the jaw bone or help keep it strong.
Natural-looking and Natural-functioning.
While dentures and tooth-supported bridges have the potential to help restore your smile, they do not always look like real teeth. They also cannot support regular chewing ability and often require a limited diet. Dental implants are typically indistinguishable from your natural teeth, and they also allow you to eat whatever food you like.
What happens during the dental implant procedure process?
The dental implant procedure process differs based on the patient. We work hard to ensure that each treatment plan is tailored to each patient’s specific needs, which means your treatment will not be the same as someone you know who might have had dental implants placed.
When you visit our office for your initial consultation, we will give you an exact idea of what your treatment will entail. During the first appointment, we will go over X-rays or take 3D scans, if necessary. Once we have reviewed all necessary materials, we can develop an individualized treatment plan. This will include your preferred sedation method. We will also provide you with pre-operative and post-operative instructions to ensure you understand how to care for yourself before and after treatment.
At your surgical appointment, we will answer any remaining questions before administering the anesthesia. In most cases, patients will rest in a sleep-like state through IV sedation and wake up when the procedure is over. Your surgeon will make an incision in the gum tissue, place the implant, and place sutures. After the procedure, you will wake up and be driven home by your prearranged driver. You will take the next few months to heal and once you are ready, your restorative dentist will place the final crown.
As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, we have been extensively trained to successfully place dental implants. Our team uses the latest implant techniques and technology available to provide patients with outstanding surgical care and achieve optimal results.

"I had a tooth where my general dentist had said that it needed to be pulled. So he said that it needed to be pulled, and I needed to get an implant after the tooth was pulled, so I came here to get my tooth pulled and the implant. I was a little bit nervous at first. They kind of put me at ease by letting me know what was going on the entire process and giving me kind of a run-down of what was going to happen. My procedure was pretty painless. I didn't feel anything—you know, they gave me some drugs and everything, and I really didn't feel anything; it was pretty good. Dr. Lesneski is a great oral surgeon. I love having him as my doctor. I would recommend anybody to come to him. If any of my friends in Clio, Burton, or Flint need a dental implant, I highly recommend Greater Michigan Oral Surgeons."

"The practice here is very beautiful: it’s comfortable, it’s inviting, and you can really feel the energy in the room here. The staff here is super friendly: they’re always smiling, they greet you as soon as you walk in the door, and they make you feel at home. The doctors here are very wonderful about making you feel relaxed. They want you to feel at ease, which I definitely did. [The] procedure went really well. It was faster than I expected, and I was out of here in no time. Recovery time was really great. I would highly recommend Greater Michigan Oral Surgeons."

"I was in an automobile accident, and I had quite a few of my teeth knocked out. They started with bridges, but then they splintered the teeth, and they broke off. Then I finally had to have the whole top pulled. I had root canals, and then the teeth broke off because Dr. Frey said that they get hard, or they don't have anything—they don't have life in them anymore, so they break off. And he extracted those—I have six on the bottom. When he was doing the implants, he had to do some bone grafting. Dr. Frey is very nice, yeah, very friendly, and yes, I would recommend him highly."

"My doctor — I've been with him for years — so I asked him . . . you know, he told me pretty much what I needed to do, and that was the bone implant. So, him being the guy he is, I asked him, "Give me the best place to go and the best person you know to do the work." So he suggested Dr. Lesneski here. I was terrified; you know, you hear so many things about, you know, drilling into your bone. But once I got here, they made me feel totally comfortable before the procedure. Dr. Lesneski did two dental implants; they gave me pain medication for after the procedure, but I didn't even take it. He called me, actually, after he did the procedure to check on me. That's rare, and it's a great experience, and I would pass it on for anybody who considers that procedure going forward or in the future to consider this place. It's really good."

"I needed to have a bone graft, and an extraction, and an implant. I went to my dentist and they referred me to Dr. Lesneski. Staff is amazing. Staff is helpful; they're always willing to do anything you need, make you comfortable. Dr. Lesneski—he pulled my tooth. After he extracted my tooth, I thought it was going to hurt. It did not hurt. Then he did a bone graft, and then he did an implant. My dental implant feels like a natural tooth; you can't tell that it's there, it looks great, and it matches very well. They did a great job. Dr. Lesneski—he will make you laugh. He took his time; he didn't rush. It was incredible. They made me feel comfortable, and it did not hurt. I would recommend Dr. Lesneski to my friends and my family."
